Beginning this year, all positions with Eclectic Endeavors must be applied for to be fulfilled.  There is no assumptions that people holding positions in the past will be waived on in for the current year.  There is no “default setting” or “coasting” from Year 9 into Year 10.

Below you will see the definition for a Director and a Manager position.  You will find to the right a list of the available Director and Manager positions.  If you know of a position not listed or think of a position that you would like to develop, please contact Chris Stuart or another officer to suggest an update.

Director

Someone in charge of a portion of the convention and represents significant time & effort throughout the year prior to the event.


Manager

Someone in charge of one activity / event at the convention. Someone that can do their job with little work throughout the year and mainly is focused on effort for that weekend.


Director Responsibilities:

  • Receive all communications for their department.
  • Respond in a timely manner to all communications.
  • Manage the website content for their dept. (Training by Chris)
  • Attend minimally 75% of meetings throughout the year.
  • Attend all meetings within the last 6 weeks before GAME EXPO.
  • If unable to attend a meeting a report of what work has been done / status updates / etc. is sent to officers before meeting.
  • Coordinate scheduling of their volunteer needs.
  • Manage budget appropriated for their dept.
  • Ensure the success of their activity / event through planning and follow-through reports after convention.
  • If a director is unable to fulfill these duties they will be asked by EE Officers to resign their position.

Manager Responsibilities:

  • Receive all communications for their department (where there is not a Director)
  • Respond in a timely manner to all communications.
  • Coordinate scheduling of their volunteer needs. (where there is not a Director)
  • Manage budget appropriated for their dept. (where there is not a Director)
  • Ensure the success of their activity / event through planning and follow-through reports after convention.
  • If a manager is unable to fulfill these duties they will be asked by EE Officers to resign their position.

Application process:

  • At a meeting or online — fill out application.
  • Applications are reviewed by Officers.
  • Director / Manager positions are offered to qualified candidates.
  • Unqualified applicants are thanked and rejected.
  • Announcements are made.
