PLAYERS CAN PRE-REGISTER FOR GAMES!

PLAYERS CAN PRE-REGISTER FOR GAMES!

HEY PLAYERS!

If you’ve ever attended G.A.M.E. EXPO before you know that you head to Gaming HQ and look for available games and sign up.  You will STILL be able to do that AT our event, but now you can ALSO register ahead of the event opening on Friday.

Go to the Gaming Schedule on our website and you will find yourself on the GrowTix page for G.A.M.E. EXPO.  On this page, you’ll see the 3 schedule days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), and all the games as they start to be submitted by Gamemasters.  Games appear once they are approved and assigned to a table.

When you see a game and click on VIEW button, you’ll see the [REGISTER FOR THIS GAME] button on the pop-up screen.  Pre-Registering before the doors open on Friday, will guarantee you get a spot at the games you want to play.

CALLING ALL GAME MASTERS!

CALLING ALL GAME MASTERS!

You can get into G.A.M.E. Year 10 for FREE when you pre-schedule games! Without your help in running games, we would not have a gaming convention. As our way of saying “Thanks” we offer GMs free entry!

GM BADGES

To qualify for a Game Master Badge you must pre-schedule 40 player hours of games.  This process is explained below in the steps outlined.

PLAYER HOURS

Starting with Year 10 we are focusing on PLAYER HOURS as the benchmark for a free GM Badge.  Player hours represent the amount of players at your game by the length of the game planned.  This first year we will focus on what is PLANNED to happen, in years to come as we track this system, the results of actual hours played will be used to reimburse GMs or award next year’s badge.  This will mostly apply to new untested GMs.  Those of you who’ve been with us previously, will continue to earn a free badge by scheduling the minimal hours.

DEADLINE

GM Registration Deadline is September 21, 2018.  We will be finalizing schedules and getting programs printed.  Any gaming opportunities after this date will be “pick-up games” during the 3 days of G.A.M.E.   Pick-up games do not qualify for a free GM badge.

SCHEDULING PICK-UP GAMES

SCHEDULING PICK-UP GAMES

Need to clarify something here.  If you pre-registered as a GM and submitted your games, those are now on the website.  The window to pre-register is closed.  HOWEVER, you can still run games at G.A.M.E. EXPO!

These are referred to as “pick-up” games.  Once you’ve arrived at G.A.M.E. EXPO, head for the Gaming HQ table.

If all you need is a table, and you have all the players and such, then you can work with the staff to schedule a table.  We have PLENTY.

If you want to POST a game for sign-up and have players join you, then we have some simple paperwork to fill out and then you’ll have a sign-up sheet created and a table scheduled.  Ta-da!

We have over 140+ pre-scheduled games, but we will have a LOT of pick-up games.  So join us and have fun!

ALL EVENTS SCHEDULE RESTRUCTURED

ALL EVENTS SCHEDULE RESTRUCTURED

We’ve retooled our events schedule so that each category of events have their own page.  Turns out when you have 150+ events it freaks out the plug-in, with the way we wanted them displayed.  So, now when you go to the ALL EVENTS SCHEDULE page you’ll see a series of buttons to dive into specific categories.  If you have any questions / concerns / issues — please let us know.

GAME SCHEDULING CODE ISSUE

GAME SCHEDULING CODE ISSUE

NOT TO WORRY GAMEMASTERS!!

We have all your games.  If you scheduled it — it will appear on the schedule.  Just give us a couple days here to sort out an issue.

We’ve had SO MANY games this year we ran into a software issue.   The plug-in we use “Chronosly” appears to have a limit of 40 games per page / category.   Well, in the Role-Playing Game category we have 69 games!   So right now only the first 40 games in each category are showing.

We have a work around.  We will be changing our layout schedule so that each category has its’ OWN page.  SO … you will see “Boardgames” and click on that — then on the “Boardgames” page — all the games will appear.   We tested this on the RPG games and the limit of 40 was ignored and all 69 appeared.

Just going to take us a couple of days to rearrange all of this — right now we are putting final touches on OTHER things that have to go to print TODAY.  So … we will announce when this layout change has taken place.

GAMEMASTERS — not to worry.  If you find any missing games (that are not on the website) we will get it posted / assigned / scheduled before the event begins on Friday 10/6 — we will take care of you.
