WHAT IS G.A.M.E.?
Gaming Arts Media Expo, also known as G.A.M.E., is a 3-day event that embraces all things geeky or on the fringe of mainstream culture.

We seek to show that all the arts connected to gaming, sci-fi, fantasy are as legitimate as fine arts found in museums and galleries.

The G.A.M.E. event will have a variety of activities:
  • Role-Playing Games
  • Video & Computer Games
  • Live Action Role-Playikng (LARP)
  • Tactical Miniatures
  • Board Games
  • Collectiable Card Games
  • Media Room (animé, live-action)
  • Exhibitors/Dealers Area
  • Panel Discussions
  • Costume Contest
  • Art Show
  • Game Design Contest

WHO ATTENDS G.A.M.E.?
G.A.M.E. attracts a wide demographic of people. In “Year One” (2009), we had over 200 attendee. One thing they all had in common is dedication to their interest.

Some other facts about our attendees:
  • They spend time and money to improve skills, equipment, resources and understanding.

  • They drive several hours to attend conventions, stay overnight in local hotels.

  • They attend hour upon hour of activities, and cram as much fun into one weekend as others do in one month.
Some quick demographics of our target audience:
  • 60% male
  • 30% 18 - 34 years old
  • 40% 35 - 49 years old
  • 30% have children 6 - 17 years old
  • 25% annual income less than $30K
  • 30% annual income over $100K

WHAT HAPPENS AT G.A.M.E.?
G.A.M.E. will be an opportunity for attendees to socialize, experiment, learn and acquire.
  • Play games with each other
  • Learn about new products
  • Seek out collectible merchandise
  • Make new friends and contacts
  • Develop and learn skills
  • Have a good time and make memories
Our schedule will be online and will be constantly updated up to the opening day on October 15th, 2010.

HOW DOES G.A.M.E.
RAISE MONEY?
We have multiple sources contributing to our fund-rasing efforts.
  • Sponsorships by businesses & individuals
  • Advertising in our program guide
  • Donations
  • Registration to the event
Most of the money raised for G.A.M.E. will be applied towards the expenses of running the event itself.

Any proceeds after meeting expenses will be donated to Springfield Regional Arts Council. As a partner of the SRAC, we employ their accountant, and our books are open to public review.

Eclectic Endeavors, is a program of the Springfield Regional Arts Council.
